Red face Don't you just love weather?

Another day of weather avoidance, another day of working in everyone else's airspace but my own! (though some would say that is normal for me)

I think we all (Pilots, controller, assistants and everyone else involved) did a good job today in trying circumstances.

To the Pilots: We do try to help where we can, please bear with us if we say no, it is for a reason.

I think we even managed to get through the afternoon without an argument between TC and Swanwick, there even appeared to be some co-operation and co-ordination going on. Better not tell the management hey, they might expect it to continue!

Take care out there.

Hey Northerner, were you doing South Co-ord at all yesterday? Kept getting told by Deps that she was being really helpful.

We had some great views of the CBs from the tower!

Hi Gonzo,

I did, but I also had a trainee yesterday, and there was another lass on who I think was doing a good job. But compliments are always accepted!

That's the trouble with TC though, we don't get to see the weather, just deal with it. Be nice to have a window....

Talk to you soon.

Northerner, you can always go up on the balcony. Or an unofficial observation by sticking your head out the fire door down the end behind Thames/SVFR.

We departed around 5pm from LHR yesterday after a long pause on the r/w waiting for the big red blobs to move away. The controller on 118.5 was terrific, co-ordinating with radar to try and accomodate our requests for a very non standard departure route. Once airborne, all the subsequent sectors were great too.
Just wanted to say a big THANKS to all involved. I know you'll say you were just doing your job, but Thanks anyway.
