I'm sure it will be mentioned in the bumf, but don't expect a bus to the door. The nearest bus stop is not the one at the Terminal but about 750 m further North at the Motorway junction, then about 1k walk

Of course this could have changed .....

My main concern with Eurocontrol over NATS is the moving overseas, how easy has it been for anyone who has moved to settle in ? That is one thing which they have given in their literature as the reason for a high dropout rate on the training.
The reason for the high dropout rate during training. Cr*p. The reason for the high dropout rate is because it's a difficult job, the training isn't suited to everyone and not everyone's suited to the training! There are also failings in the training system and the selection process (HR have, in the past admitted to this).

BTW, the walk from the terminal at the airport to MUAC is no problem- I've done it quite a few times. Just leave the terminal, turn right, and follow the perimeter fence around to the industrial estate on the other side of the airfield. Takes about 15 minutes.

eurocontrol down - nats up

mmmm, nats controllers +7% pay rise this year and +7% guaranteed next year or Eurocontrollers minus .1% (according to rumours) this year .....
which one would you choose ? I know ...

Devil Dear Davina

Almost correct...Net salary stays the same....but....cost of living index for The NL was reduced by 3-5%!!! Means further loss and they may even reclaim this from current salaries!!

Now we don't have money as well as complex traffic!!!!!!!

That's privitisation for you then ! Management (Maastricht - Euro.) keeps threatening the aforementioned P word , so let them go ahead - the office 'support' would be the losers in my view !

Too bad, i have been to maastricht with a girlfriend from my team last year and all i can say is that there were one or two good looking guys working there ...
The town was lovely too - we stayed at a hotel called durlon (recommended). Too bad we didn't bump into those guys !

I take it you don't mean Impi. He's our care in the community project... keeping village idiots off the streets and away normal folk. It was working quite well till one of his carers taught him how to turn a computer on.

No impi but i do think your anger towards Eurocontrol is justified as your work isn't appreciated by enough people. Those toilets are spotless everyday and it's about time your efforts were recognized. Keep up the good work my friend.

coming again to maastricht

Hey impi - thanks for the pm - that was very funny- it made me laugh alot.

So here is some news - me and one (possibly two girls) are planning to visit Maastricht UAC again before christmas .No boys coming with us this time...

Is there anyone there in maastricht UAC who would like to show us around the centre (or/or Maastricht town?) . we will probably stay at the durlon hotel again as it is near the shops and the bars (for two nights)

please feel free to mail me - but genuine replies only please.

looking forward

Davina
