What ratings do you hold?

PK recently advertised for controllers, but I think you've missed the closing date.

As for the other airports - get your CV in to the GM's.

Then if you'd bothered to do any research you'd have discovered that you're ineligible to work at either PE or PN. (There is a world outside NATS which involves the need for an APP rating )

Bit rough, that CM! HIAL have certainly offered training to part qualified but experienced ATCOs before. Not sure about PN; also not sure why anybody would want to work there.....

PK required an APC as well as TWR + APR.
PN also require TWR and APC, again, it beats me why anyone would want to go there, very nice people at the airport, but the money's crap.
PE - the pride of HIAL's fleet , however, they rarely take external applicants directly, they can usually fill such vacancies internally without any problem.

What about PF and PH, is the radar for both now centralised at PH? In which case do you just need a TWR rating to work at Pf, or do NATS still require everyone to have APR as well? What about PD, do you need all 3 ratings, and do the Anglia Radar bod's also do TWR or APR?

Phew! so many questions, I'm knackered.

NATS scottish airports all do their own APR and will continue to do so for the forseeable future.

This may change once McNERC is up and running; there's even talk that CC APR will move up there! Believe it when I see it, though.

Devil

RATSU why don't you send your cv with a covering letter to PK SATCO and see what happens. You never know your luck and the worst they can say is no.

Would you really want to employ someone who hasn't got the nouse to find out and apply off their own back?

Just goes to show what a spoon fed society we're becoming
