If as expected Stansted gets the go ahead does anybody here from ATC have an idea what the R/W configuration would be ?

Grrr

23/05 for sure, one study says a runway South of the terminal, another says to the north, so whatever is the cheapest I guess?

Another shows that the taxiway has been constructed as an 'emergency' runway to be used during the construction works?

Ask the local 'rather' activists dead set against runway 2.

Do a search on the WWW for the local campaigners, for sure they will have diagrams and plans that the BAA have submitted for a second runway.

Diagrams of possible runway layouts can be found here, courtesy of the government's consultation document.
