Concorde Dep EGAA

Just a quick question as to why Concorde made a left turnout after departing 07.I left the office to watch the Dep with my family from Glenavy.
(I was getting doubtful as there were a couple of 25 arrivals before her dep).

Did he route to the DUB VOR the long way round?

The outbound route took it back down towards shannon...then out over the ocean then back in via the bristol channel.A left turn out from 07 going that way gives uninterupted climb (if there are inbounds either to 07 from the south east..or there is traffic into sydenham)
