Well, reading this made me feel the urge for a short while, but I'm feeling better now thanks.

Is there some way to filter this sort of thing out?

Looking at some of Hustler's other posts I think we have a journalistic wind up.

But to answer your question; no not suicidal, just the (so far) resisted desire to kick seven shades of s**t out of idiots asking stupid questions.

Lon More, here since before Pontius was a Pilot and Mortus was a Rigger

BTW If I was in Manchester, suicide would probably be an acceptable alternative

Edited for snide comment

In a few decades of working in ATC I have never known anyone commit suicide.

Apart from those 15 Swanwick guys who thought Traffic Traffic was actually serious

NOT funny.

A c/c member at a UK airline reportedly took his life downroute 2 weeks ago.
And I am not prepared to say anymore so as not to cause distress to those closest to him.Condolences to them all.

Don`t be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own.
Love will open every door it's in your hands, the world is yours.
Don`t hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold.
What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar

I *am* in Manchester and suicide is *not* an acceptable alternative

The Hustler - if you're a journalist you're obviously a terrible and rather untalented one - can't you do any better than this?

I need to work harder....

Only 15 pending suicides.....how disappointing.....

I have been working for 13 Years now and I like Radar have never known anybody to take their own life - I have on occasion felt like taking it for them.......but that is another story.

Fair go guys................I'm sure this guy is serious.

Not a day goes by where I don't see someone "on the edge", somebody who is "holding on too tight".

Sorry! I almost sound as much of a w@nker as Hustler.............................

(Edited cause we all know I can't spell)

I think you'll find that Kamikaze pilots had the highest suicide rate of all aviation careers.

Anti-Ice - Hustler does talk a lot of sh*te, but Celine Dion lyrics is not the way to stop him.

it's simple - if you don't like your job that much that you have to kill yourself then LEAVE ! .... simple as that

I know of only 2 atcos that have committed suicide in service.
One in the 70s ex Gatwick/EU and the other more recently at Manchester.

As far as I know neither cases were job related.
Pity about your comments Lon but then I guess you didn't know.

'How many of you are contemplating it?

The rest of the thread is pointless enough, but asking someone to admit that they are 'contemplating' suicide as well. Go on Trisha own up, its you isn't it?

D~@khead!

Besides, would you want to commit suicide if you were in Kylies bed!!??

Not a journo just a tw*t

Please guys don't assume he's a journalist just because he asks a stupid question - from the style of his writing I'd say he's an anorak who's just taken too much amphetamine and can't sleep..

May I suggest (if he is reading this thread) that he dusts off one of his "Civil Aircraft Markings" books (1974 edition will do) and has a w*** instead. That should help him sleep.
