Just saw another report of mlitary jets being scrambled to intercept unidentified aircraft...

http://www.straitstimes.com.sg/topstories/story/0,4386,205634-1061416740,00.html?

I was just thinking, how would i be able to communicate to the friendly fighter jets flying by my side (apart from drawing a middle finger on a piece of paper and showing that to them) in such a situation?
I appreciate any comments please.

Safe flying all

This might help http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/224/ssl11.pdf

not sure if I could remember all that if a fast jet turned up next to me...

Thanks for that mate... I'll keep this piece of info handy and if I ever need to use it I'll try not to get my knickers in a knot

I guess that either I'm misinformed regarding what the general aviation pilot enroute between Luton and Manchester needs to be worrying about, or somebody at the CAA has a sense of humor, but when I look at the first illustration in the leaflet it looks to me as though the intercepting aircraft is an F16 in the markings of the Israeli Air Force. The roundels are blurry, but it sure looks like a blue start of David on a white field.

Get a lot of that in the East Midlands area? ;)
