Hi;
I was wondering what is the average crew layover for long haul flights. E.G. LHR-JFk ........ does the crew flyback the day after arrival or is there a longer stay?

Is one night average for longhaul or is flying East different?

Thanks for the info;

Anything from 12 hours to 7 days (weekly services). On the US from Europe, almost always about 24 hours, 48 hours on US West Coast. On 11 hour+ flights, usually 2 nights before continuing or returning. Why you ask?

Just planning my future life when I am flying 747-400's long haul for BA!!!

Of course, just have to pass my PPL first!!!!!

But hey if there weren't dreamers, there wouldn't be aviators!!!! :cool:

Notso Fantastic is correct, friend of mine who flies for BA arrived at SYD today early morning ( Oz Time ). LHR-SIN stayed there for 2 nights and then SIN-SYD 1 day and a few hours.
