Sporting event charters - how big a market?

There are quite a lot of sporting events in the UK and Europe these days that attract charter business, usually from fans in organised (eg. club) groups. Does anyone have any idea how big the market is? Who gets most of the trade? (Just to lay an interesting pub conversation to rest)
