can anyone help with when you can log P1/s as a first officer on a multi-crew plane, I know the regs say when acting as PIC under the supervision of the PIC, does this mean when handling pilot calling for checks etc or is it just when line training for the left seat?.
Thanks

As far as I could establish when its your sector in the right hand seat you can log it all as P1 u/s, although I suppose if you work for a company that doesn't let you taxy you could be anal and knock the taxy time off the total.

Just read the 'guff' in the front of a UK CAA logbook and, as Hand Solo says, you can log P1(S) in the Holders Operating Capacity column and put the actual time in the P1 column when you are acting as the Pilot-In-Command, i.e. it is your sector to fly and the Captain is doing the duties of Pilot Not Flying.
