Taxiway to 9R Heathrow

Flew out to Madrid on Tuesday PM. Took off from 9R. Noticed that the last two exit/entrances from the taxiway on the north side of the runway to 9R were blocked. South side (from T4) full length is available so I'm assuming the issue is with the taxiway itself on the north side. At a guess the reason is either a problem with the pavement or a health and safety issue with the jet blast pointing at the T5 works as the aircraft turn to line up. My bet is on the T5 health and saftey but can anyone give the real reason?

Nothing to do with T5, the last but one entry is new and not in use yet and they had some damage to the taxiway at the full length which closed it for a while. Shorter take-off run from the Northside but as you say full length available from the South. Seemed to be fixed by Wednesday.
