Posted the link in case you don't venture into the nostalgia forum.

I'm not sure I've ever logged time in an aircraft younger than me. :O

No need to rub it in AB :(

If they gave free landings where the combined age of aircraft and pilot exceeded 100 I'd have had 9 years worth by now!

I'm not an owner so maybe this doesn't apply to me , but I have had the pleasure to fly in the
Aer Lingus Dragon
A Tiger Moth doing aerobatics over Henley
And the delightful G-BTCH Luscombe which Mike Cross so very kindly took me up in.

I would love to go up in a Spitfire and a Dakota to. :)

My first flying leson was in an old C150 (G-ATHV) which had a sort of pull starter not a key! Haven't seen one since. It was a 1965 model and I believe it is still flying.

Other club a/c were 1966 and 1968 and again, are still going stong and now at Prestwick.

Sorry to black-cat you Flower but I've had the pleasure of taking off several times in a Dragon Rapide although I've never landed in one (work that out). My Islander take-offs also exceed my Islander landings. (all as passenger I hasten to add)

Hufty,

I fly a 150 with the "pull starter".... Also has a strange toggle switch flap system, with a gauge above left of the pilot seat door indicating flap setting. Means that when "going around" at low level the eyes have to be in alot of places all at once.

Cheers

Luscombes also have a pull starter (that is if they have one at all)

Mike no worries, mind you I would never jump out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft :p

My '51 Cub has a pull starter, also called the prop.

One of the Tiger Moths I fly is 45 years older than me. Beat that!
