I haven't flown to Sardinia but I returned from a two week
tour of Italy three weeks ago via the French Alps and the Brenner Pass on the return leg.

Also, on the Pilot web site forum there is a thread relating to a flight to Sardinia which gives specific advice on the route and airfields used.
