Taking off from AMS yesterday evening 0600 Z, I could see a KLM Fokker 70 standing on the 3rd exit of runway 06R with some service vehicles around. When I landed on that runway 04:15, the plane was not there. Too close to the threshold to be a landing incident, so I assume a rejected takeoff run.

Any facts ?

0600 Z in six o'clock in the morning not evening.

There is no 06R at AMS

Now what is your question?

Nice one Flap40. That put a smile on my face this dull Friday morning.

in your own edited profile your occupation is being
an aerospace engineer. Could you explain taking off
from a non exisitant runway at AMS? I might be wrong but
please clarify. By the way, it sound like a tow to me.

I found out what it was:

It was a F100 from KLM Cityhopper ( former KLM Uk plane)
which had smoke in the cockpit yesterday evening on a flight
from Amsterdam to Manchester and returned to land on R18R.
(That's the new runway). Smoke wasn't very heavy according
to KLM spokesman. They disembarked the pax next to the
runway (no evac) and emergency services were on standby
next to the runway. Plane was later towed away.
