Several 146's have arrived at Southend airport, does anyone know who they belong too?

Are they the ex-Chinese ones that are being sold by Avtrade? Should be four -100's.

Yep, they're the ones I'm referring to.....quite what future they will have would be a matter for conjecture - the shortest variant, quite high-time and having been in storage in the Far East does not make a desirable combination.

Time will tell, however...

I understand that there are also a number of BAe 146s at Exeter. What variant are they and what kind of condition are they in - could they be airworthy at short notice if they are not at present. Are the operating costs of the series 100 and 200 resonably lower than the series 300?

The rumour was that three were for refurbishment and return and one was for wdu. I question that surely as China has been flying them for a long time they were not need to dispatch them to the UK and certainly not to wdu one. As stated they would be of very limited sale value without serious expenditure. On another theme I saw the ex Queens Flt 146 engine running therefore assume that must be soon to depart for sunnier climes.
