Hi Folks,

I'm a regular contributor to Rotorheads and have ventured in to ATC on behalf of a collegue whom is currently building a ATC simulator for the purposes of a Ph.D. Thesis. She has a couple of questions that are important to her work that i'm sure you knowledgable people will be able to answer readiliy:

What would be a representative altitude profile for the STAR approach TIMBA 1H, TIMBA 2B for a B737, B727, B747, A320 or MD80? [i.e. altitude for each of the waypoints]

TIMBA 2B: GURLU-BEXIL-TIMBA
TIMBA 1H: TRIPO-SPEAR-DETVOR-LARCK-TIMBA

Many Thanks

Cran,

Timba 2b requires a/c to be FL150 by BEXIL
Timba 1h a/c routing from the spear direction would probably be in the order of FL70 or FL80 depending on the pressure;)

All a/c on TIMBA 2B have to be transferred from Reims to London at a Max level of FL350. Unless there is quite a strong northerly wind, nearly all a/c require descent within 15nm of being transferred (normally 10 B4 ABB, at a place called ABSUD/ABUDA/ABNUR or something like!!!)

Don't know where the TIMBA 1H is or what traffic uses it, but if its the one that passes TANET, those a/c cross TANET at FL130.
