Hiya, I was wondering if a 737-300 or 400 pilot could answer this please.

On flight sim when I have the FMC set with all the N1 speeds and the VNAV speeds. I press toga mode to set the N1, and on the climb out at about 1000 feet I press VNAV, but then I see 300 kts on the EADI, insted of 220 (which I normally choose for initual climb speed), and so climbing at 300 kts is breaking the noise procedure.

When this happens I need to then try and select VS and control the speed normally until I pass fl100.

Just wondering if you could advice me on what to do please.

Many thanks.

If you are referring to the Dreamfleet 737-400 for FS2002 i would take this up with DF themselves rather than professional pilots. The odds are it is a development issue and don't forget the fact that the DF737 is not that good when it comes to replicating the 737 systems correctly.

'Real' FMC has '250 kts below 10,000ft' as a function in the climb page, and crews can/do put other speed restrictions in, either on that page in addition, eg '220kts below 4000ft' or on the legs page eg '220kts at EGKK 270/5'
