I’m curious to know why a UZB B767 managed to be in apparent radio failure with (that I know of) Copenhagen, Maastricht and London only to mysteriously re-establish contact with BHX approach, it’s destination! This during the peak morning traffic period. Caused quite a panic but I can’t go into detail. Perhaps ATC BHX might enlighten us as to what they gave their problem as. :zzz:

This happens occasionally, and then the A/C re-appear around top of descent somewhere. Thought this one re-established with London, but if he called Brum APP first, it would have been from it being printed on the charts. Problem wasn't determined by ATC. Believe the 'escorts' made quite impressive speed to catch up!!!

It's always amazing how the radios always work when someone wants lower...

Lon;

Sometimes I wish that I could control when to launch these intercepts <sigh>... There are a few pilots who need some waking up.
