Hi chaps,

Looking for the following performance figures for the Fokker F27-500 .

Inital climbout speed /average and max. rate of climb for the first 10 nm .

Track distance required for comfortable descent from F075 .Speed/rate of descent from 15nm.Speed on final.

Thanks,

TC

Have not flown F.27 since 1973, but seem to remember the following:

Inital climbout speed 130KIAS, average 1000 ft/min (depending on temperature), cruise climb 140KIAS, average 700 ft/min to FL160, suggested EGT 730 C. (much better turbine life).

Would suggest for descent from FL075, 25NM, 140 KIAS, on final for ILS approach 120KIAS, over the fence at 100-110.

Also suggest that one NOT close the throttles
during descent as the backlash on reduction gears is not at all desired with the Dart engine. Generall VERY reliable powerplant.
Hope you find this helpful!

Thanks 411A.

What would the econ.cruise and max.cruise speeds be ?

Thanks again.

Max cruise speed 260K (TAS) at FL160 using 745 C. EGT. However, turbine life is extended using 730 C. EGT which results in about 245 Knots. Also forgot to add in the previous, fuel trimmers increase at the FAF.
Cheers.
