Here's what we do and what we're looking for:

Takeoff, steep turns, holding, intercept an arc, VOR approach, miss, ILS to a landing.

Trainability- You're given an hour or two to study our profiles and callouts. You should be able to remember some of them.

Instrument scan- believe it or not, I've seen guys be 100 kts fast and not noticing it. Noone expects perfection, but if you're off altitude/airspeed, etc., be working to get back to where you should be.

Situational awareness- Where are you, when are you going to start slowing and configuring? Are you over the OM doing 250 kts clean?

Judgement- Don't do anything in the sim that you wouldn't do in the airplane. I'll recommend someone who makes a controlled miss, but probably not if you "save" the approach by going into a 30 degree bank at 100 RA just to land in the touchdown zone.

Good luck.
