Is it normal when joining a company to have to pay for your own hard copy of their Operations Manual? We are issued with the operation manuals on CD format and each aircraft library obviously has a hard copy. If you want to do a bit of refreshing your memory down route you have to take your laptop with you, I personally prefer using a hard copy. Is this a normal procedure within the industry?
