<reposted by myself on advice>

This afternoon I was crawling out of the Wine Society shop in Stevenage laden down with bottles when I happened to look up and see what looked like a 767 in Continental livery heading down the approach to 26 at Luton. I didnt realise they had a service into Luton. Is this a new service or was it a one off for maintenance or similar ?

It was probably a Continental 757 that you saw going into Luton.

For the last few years Monarch has been carrying out some of the heavy maintenance on Continental's 757s. Monarch is highly involved in the third party maintenance market for sevral airlines.

phnuff well spotted.
It was N18119 a 757 on a post maintenance air test after a 3 week 4C check.
It is due to depart back to USA on Sunday morning and the next one N14120 is due to arrive about 9am Monday.

Thanks for that folks. While it won't change my life and I certainly won't be making any attempt to see it leave, its nice to know what goes on.

Thanks again
