Can anyone recommend to me a good flying school in the Bay area of California, preferably fairly close to San Jose where I intend to stay, as spare time may be a bit tight for me? I am likely to be over there for a few days in the next week or so. I need to validate my recently received FAA PPL, and would like to do an hour or so flight with an instructor anyway in order to become more familiar with US airspace, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Fujiflyer,
I fly out of San Carlos (KSQL) about 25 mins north of San Jose. I can recommend Diamond (http://www.ksql.com) Aviation there.

There are two other small airlfields nearer to San Jose: Reid Hillview (KRHV) or Palo Alto (KPAO).

Both of these have at least 2 clubs/schools,so your spoiled for choice!!
:ok:

If you need anymore info. let me know. I normally fly once or twice a week so your welcome to join me if you want.

Are you looking for JAA or FAA or just hiring?

For Faa/hire can highly reccommend Rainbow Air at Longbeach.
