Has anyone used the CD by Oxford Aviation Training? At 55 quid I'm wondering if it is worth paying for rather than a couple of books to get a more "interactive" product.

Thanks in advance.

EyesTo The Skies,

This IS a good product and puts the information across in a very good way. If you are prepared to learn as much as you can about meteorology then it is worth the £55. If you just want to learn basic PPL stuff then I would wait until the new edition for PPL Met comes out in the next couple of months.

The Met Office sent me a demo CD of this. Not entirely sure why they sent it to me, but I had a look and it looked pretty decent. I prefer curling up with a book and writing notes to help me commit things to memory to sitting in front of a computer personally.
I might be able to send you my demo CD...PM me if you're interested.

I couldn't concentrate on the book , pushed the boat
out sold the cat and bought the CD its quite good
and more of it sinks in for me as opposed to a book , but
is it worth £55 mmmm.....

I've borrowed a copy from Speedbird252. Quite impressed with it - it's a lot better than their RT CDs IMHO - but there's much more than you need for the PPL. I'd agree with SuperOwl. Worth it if you're really interested in Met, not worth it for just the PPL exam.
