In the 1970's there was a wonderful looking aerobatic monoplane called a KZ-8 that used to fly from Coventry. Super aerobatic, single seat, and with a Gypsy Major engine like a Chipmunk. I believe it was owned by Bob Mitchell. I havent seen it around for some years and was wondering if anyone knew what has happened to it.

G-AYKZ, still registered to Bob Mitchell with CofA expiry in 1981. I think there was a reference on Hairyplane's Mmmmmmmiles thread to a couple of Bob's other aircraft being stored at RAF Cosford, so maybe it's also there?

He's got six UK registered aircraft, the two Miles aircraft, the KZ, plus a Stampe, Pitts and the well-known Stephens Akro, plus also he had a fleet of US-reg'd primary trainers - Ryan PT-22, Cornell and a Vultee Valiant if I recall, are they all still around?

Cheers

The Miles pair are in the Sutton Coldfield area, all the others are at Cosford.
