Does anyone know where I can download VFR charts from the net, or get hold of some old ones for the USA, Canada and Australia?

I'm starting to think about a flying holiday in one of said countries and want to get some idea of what the airspace is like to do some initial planning (doesn't need to be up to date - it might be some time before I go!)

Thanks,

Dupre.

Instrument Check Pilot (http://www.icpschool.homestead.com/flightplanning.html)

This link has some great information. It is from the Canadian Forces Instrument School

For the US, have a look at http://www.aeroplanner.com/tools/dlsimcharts.cfm?tab=sectionals . Also www.mapserver.maptech.com used to do something similar, but since they 'upgraded' the site it no longer works for me. You may have more 'modern' equipment ;)

If you are a member of the EAA, they have a flight planning service online.
