Hi,

Is anyone aware of the current regs in order to instruct to PPL(A) level at a JAA RFTO i.e. local club - no instruction fee charged.

You may instruct on a PPL; however, you will still need 'commercial level knowledge', to take the same FI(R) course as any other prospective FI and to maintain your rating in the same manner.

You may NOT receive ANY remuneration for any instruction you conduct - including 'mileage allowance', 'lunch allowance' or any other dodge to get around the rules.....

You probably wouldn't be very popular with the 'hours builders' (trying to earn a few pounds to recover the cost of their CPL and FI(R) courses, Class 1 medical costs etc.) if you were seen as a cheaper alternative and as a result took business away from them.
