Just wondering who the youngest person is, and there age, to fly solo around the world is? I would imagine that you would have to have a JAA and FAA license for the countries?

I'm confused about the license requirements as there was that little girl that tried to do it over in the US a while back. She was too young even for a glider rating, so her instructor had to go with her. (not that he proved very useful or anything). They were calling it the youngest coast to coast solo or something, but she didnt' have any paperwork. Of course that was the media that gave it that name.

Maybe I've got it wrong now as it was a while ago.

If you are flying a 'G' reg aircraft round the world then your JAA licence will be fine. It would only be in you wanted to rent a 'N' reg that you would need the FAA licence.
