Flight International 14-20 January, mentions a near disaster at Guam on 17 December last year when a Philippine Airline A330 literally scraped a hill on final approach during a GPWS go-around. It took out power lines and damaged the fuselage. Notwithstanding, the crew landed and then flew it back to Manila.

That must have been the close call of the century yet until it was reported in Flight the incident has been kept under wraps. Can anyone supply details or links?
