"Orchestrated Litaany of Lies" ANZ D10 Erebus Report

Hi,

Anyone know if there is a copy of Justice Peter Mahon's Royal Commission report on the net? The one where he coined the phrase 'orchestrated litany of lies'.

There is a book by Mahon J called "Verdict on Erebus".

Well and truly worth your time to track down a copy. It will scare you to realise to what depths the management of a big airline will stoop trying to protect themselves.

To me, it is all so very sad to see how the flight crew was becoming increasingly uncomfortable the way little things weren't quite right, but nothing they could really put a finger on. A classic case of human factors costing an aircraft.

How many of us would have been caught out as they were? A large majority, I fear - including me I expect.

Thanks guys - will check those links out & try to find the book.

I did read the account in Macarthur Job's book and I agree - the crew did appear (from the CVR) to be a little uncomfortable - the 'I don't like this' etc... CRM before its time.

Thanks - I think I may have located a copy of 'Verdict on Erebus' in Sydney - I'll see how that goes, but if unsuccessful, I might try to get a copy of that. I'll let you know on Pprune.
