It is no longer possible to take tests according to the national system in Sweden. I have two more tests to take and I am not allowed to, since we have passed the deadline in Sweden.
I am therefore forced to take the entire course according to JAR and allt the ATPL tests according to JAR. That is of course a very expensive way of doing things, to expensive for me.
I am trying to get an extension of the time it is possible to take tests according to the national system.
I am curious about how this has worked in the other JAA countries?

The UK exams for aeroplanes and helicopters finished last year.
They do still exist for balloons, airships etc where there isn't a JAR option.

It may be worth trying to claim an exemption from registering with a training provider if you have already done all the studying anyway. The actual exam cost is similar to the old national system in the UK (about £500-600 for all exams).
