World Airline Directory

May I ask here if anybody can help me how to find a website where one can see which airlines are using certain type of aircraft
or at least some kind of World Airline Directory.

Flight International publish a World Airline Directory in three parts during March each year. They also (used) to publish it as a book at some great expense. The book was available at libraries as well, to save the cost. I don't think it is available on line, however.
