Does anyone here have first hand experience with the
Azur Flying Club based in Aix en Provence (France).

They seem to advertise regularly and as Mrs [u] likes
France it might be a 'easy' way getting my PPL fast. :)

Sounds like a Bill Brooks enterprise, although I don't suppose that Yvan and Bill are one and the same!

Anybody remember

- Flight Training International
- aka FTI Aviation
- The Sisteron Valley Flying Club

based in Cannes Mandelieu and Sisteron at various times during the 1990s.

Aix-Les-Milles is a lovely field with a pleasant restaurant "L'Arc en Ciel" and a big military presence. The weather is usually great and the choice of destinations for the QXC is pretty exotic. Not like churning round Florida's swamps for hours on end! Just make sure that you avoid overflying the prison, dangerously close to on of the VRPs.

Aix is currently under threat of closure, so lets hope that the school makes good whilst it is still there.
