Jet powered Airships??

Sitting in the pub the other evening a few of the chaps got talking about the Hindenburg disaster documentary on TV .One of them then asked was it possible or desirable to power a modern dirigible with some form of jet engine(presumably swivelling for manoeuvrability).The collected Guiness powered brains trust had no idea if this was feasible or not so over to you..........!!!! :confused:

No need for jet power. Recips or turboprops would be much more efficient in the speed/altitude range airships work in.
