Got asked by a freind what the meaning of the lights on the roof by the flight attendants stations. There are four lights usualy Red, Green, Amber(Yellow) & Blue or White. I know one is for the cabin attendant buttons but what are the others for:confused:

As you can see I don't know, don't have them on PA28's:D :D

Anyone out there care to enlighten me

Varies from type to type or should i say manufacturer. Things like a passenger has pressed a call bell, call bell in toilet pressed, crew calling that interphone, alert signal etc.

AMBER: Think about running away.
RED: Run away. Really. Now.
GREEN: Just kidding.

OK, I made that up.

Was wondering myself. Actually thought it was to do with more serious scenarios than whether customer in 33C wanted another coffee, but obviously not.

Airbus system: pink is Captain call, amber is loo assist button or flashes for loo smoke alarm, blue is punter calling and I've forgotten the fourth one!!! Is it a second pink one for emergency captain call - not sure...
