We are travelling to Bournmouth 28th and 29th November to look at a Cherokee Six aircraft that is for sale. We are looking for an licensed engineer experienced on type in the Bournmouth area that would be available to check out the airframe and engine on those dates and provide us with a report and recomendation.

Check to see if the Narco 12D's are FM Immune.
If they are then be advised that Narco have serious problems with these sets.
If they are not FM Immune then stick with them for now they are good sets although the displays need replacing about every 600 to 800 hours at about £200 each.

Also, if the COMs are only 720 channel, they will be of limited use - 760 has been required in certain areas for a long time now. I am fairly sure it will not qualify for airways, and is also missing DME.

For something this old, well worth getting a full inspection for corrosion, as well as all the usual AD's/AWN etc

Have told a friend, who will be in touch shortly, he thinks he has worked on the a/c and will c/o a survey as reqd.
