2 days after Nov 5th, + they're still at it. Are aircraft ever hit by fireworks? I'm very close to LHR, + no one seems a bit concerned when dozens of rockets are let off into the path of approaching air traffic. Do they have any effect?

The night of the 4th was clear... London looked like it was under attack!! The 5th was overcast at 7/800', so we only got a look when it was too late.
The LHR ATIS warned of fireworks.
Yes, it can be off putting, but also made the arrival and departure a little more special.
The hold for 27R at around 20:30 was the place to be, amazing show all around.
