View Full Version : APU consumption B737-500/700+windadd?

Can anyone tell me, where I can find figures, graphs, whatever, as long as it is regarding APU fuel consumption on a B737-500 or -700?

Also, if using VrefIce, am I allowed to increase this speed with up to 20 kts due to wind, of course respecting the "flap limit speed - 5kts"?

Kind regards

You can assume 120kg/hr for 737-300 APU under full load on the ground.

For "Vref ice" as you call it, use flap 30 as it has a higher max speed limit. If your at Vref40+20 you may as well be at flap 30 for the cost of a handful of additional Vref knots.

Vref Ice is effectively Vref + 10 knots. To this approach speed should be added a minimum of 5 knots.
The latest revision to the B737 QRH (dated September 30th, 2002) states that "when Vref Ice is required, the wind additive should not exceed 10 knots".

This means that when using Vref Ice the approach speeds will effectively be normal Vref + 15 (minimum) up to Vref + 20 (maximum).
