Can some one tell me the names of airports in the Eastern township area. Is Saint Jean Sur Richelieu in this area.I am looking for small GA type strips with light aircraft hire.PA44,PA28 types.What Sherbrooke airport like. Thanks

Hey Ferrari.. No St jean is not in eastern township but it's close
Sherbrooke is nice, Bromont is very nice aswell and closer from montreal you also have Valcour if you want a taste of very very small RWY.

St. Jean is MUCH closer to Montreal than Bromont or Sherbrooke (which is the "capital" of the Eastern Townships aka Cantons de L'Est). My dog-eared copy of the Carte Routier shows St. Jean/Iberville only 40 km from Montreal (Exit 25 from the Autoroute de L'Est) while it's 147Km to Sherbrooke. Bromont's about half way between them also just off the Eastern Townships Autoroute.

anytime Ferrari..and ICT_SLB , Ferrari question was, is st jean is in the eastern township and the answer is no..but it close to it and closer from montreal also...

TinTin for some people the Eastern Townships start at the bottom of Crescent....
