Sky harbour = KPHX

Southwest based there,as are America West and America West Express. Many other airlines fly in, Delta, American, United etc. Several cargo aircraft there also. No training schools I think, airspace is all Class B. Just outisde this airspace there are lots of schools: search for:

Falcon Field Municipal Airport. .Chandler Municipal Apt. .Goodyear Airport. .Glendale Airport. .Casa Grande Airport. .Williams Gatewat Airport

GOOD LUCK, wx and scenery there are AMAZING!

Don't forget Deer Valley. I did some flight training out there. Great fun flying, bit bloody hot though. make sure the aircraft you hire's got a/c. Panam used to be based out of there, don't know if they are now????? <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

Skyharbor is easily in the top ten busiest airports in the world, probably around 50% busier than LHR on a movement basis. It was the busiest two runway airport in the world until they put in 7R/25L recently. There is a flight school there, but you will spend a lot of time and money on taxiways if you train there. I've been in and out in a warrior for the hell of it, no big deal, just call them up a good 15 minutes beforehand. PHX App very friendly and will always try to fit practice approaches in even when they are busy.

Multiple class D airports under class B wedding cake.

Yes, weather splendid. Yesterday hit the low 80s, much the same for the rest of the week. BBQs all through the weekend though the pools are still a bit chilly.

SKAZ,

Try Swift Aviation (or Swift Air) - it is a growing FBO with flight training based at Sky Harbor. Another good flight school in Phoenix is Sawyer Aviation based at Scottsdale Airport.

The flying conditions are fantastic in Arizona - but expect 3-4 hot summer months - but the rest of the year the weather is WONDERFUL!!!! Hey, with 320+ days of sunshine and calm winds per year, you can't ask for much more... Trust me, you'll love it there!

. .Cheers
