LHR-LHR Concorde flights

Concorde overflies my house before turning onto the 27L/R ILS. At least twice in the last couple of weeks a Concorde has arrived at LHR approximately an hour before Speedbird 2 from JFK. Are these test flights for the remaining 'out of service' BA Concordes or are they charter flights?

I checked on some flight tracker sites and the route was LHR to LHR.

The one that flew over me today (28/10) was Speedbird 9179. I believe the other day it was Speedbird 9172.

as far as I know Speedbird 9x are test flights........

G-BOAG has just returned form a 3 month scheduled check, so I guess that one of the flights was its standard post check airtest.

There are other things that require reqular test flights, maybe even crew verification.

It would not be for newly modified aircraft on test flights. I don't think work has started on the final 2 yet!
