Does anybody know why, except for a brief period while 27L was resurfaced, 27R never seems to be used?

Think it's something to do with problems the northern tower has of seeing aircraft at the holding points....
It is used sometimes, the ILS that is, before breaking off for a visual on 27L or 9R.

I've been there quite alot but I've never experienced 27R not being used...maybe I've been lucky. :)

Although it's never declared closed in the NOTAMs, I've never seen it being used - wasn't even mentioned as active runway on ATIS.

Was told recently that the reason 27R can not yet be used simultaneously with 27L is because French authorities won't let CDG set up close Parallel runway ops on the northern runways until they have got it working properly on the southern runways. Still too many runway incursions allegedly.
