I was at Heathrow to day Wednesday 23rd, and from the viewing gallery i saw a lot of smoke, it looked like it was comining from around 09R? Does any body have any infomation on this Fire or Smoke at EGLL?? Thanks D.Lucas:confused:

09R is a big place! I was on watch from 2-8.30pm and know of nothing untoward happening at Heathrow.. at least, nothing to affect air traffic.

If you mean the one about 1815 local it was off- airport to the southwest, somewhere near the Stanwell Moor Road, probably kids setting fire to another nicked car. The smoke drifted over the CTA and was somewhat acrid and thick.

saw it from the A30 Egham Hill, thought "Erk!", nowt on the BBC so forgot about it and went to the pub!

Ok That was prob the fire then... and Heathrow director good on ya for your quick correction with your 27L ,27R mixup :D Thanks every body
