ould someone explain to me why contrials are so much more prevelant in Europe than, say, Australia or New Zealand. I was recently staying in Southern England was most intrigued to see all the contrials in the sky which is something you rarely see here in Sydney.

can anyone shhed any light on this????

Thanks

The main reason has to be that southern England has the busiest airspace in the world, and I would suspect that the air here tends to contain more moisture (which is what you see in the contrail) than that in south-east Australia.
