Which is the correct word, when speaking of loading extra fuel, due to cost factors?

Tankering.

Top of plog gives Fuel cost index at origen and destination, "please consider tankering".

Tanking - the process of loading extra fuel to extend endurance when you happen to be airbourne at the time. :D
