A collegue of mine, passed the exam for SEP, but the authorities refuse to give the SEP-rating in his JAA-ATPL, because according the JAA, you have to follow a modulair course for SEP.
There is no modulair course for a SEP-rating, only integrated courses for ATPL/CPL etc and modulair courses PPL.
How can he get his SEP-rating in a JAA-ATPL. He passed the exam and has approximatly 1000 hours SEP and grand total of 8000 hours? According the authorities he has to make his own modulair course if there is none existing? I could not believe that they really want him to do that........
