Hi

I have an FAA Private Licence and FAA First Class Medical.

I am starting a course that will lead in two years time to a FAA CPL/IR/ME with 320hrs TT and 50ME.

What are the employment opportunities in the US like for someone from Europe?

Is a Visa easy to obtain for a commercial pilot or is it difficult?

If the US is a problem, are there other countries looking for FAA CPL's?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to say that but have a look at this

I'm not an expert on this but I think FAA licences are accepted in a big part of the world. And i personally think it's only a question of time that JAA starts to convert US licences.

Thanks for the reply - JAA will convert an FAA licence at present, but you need to do a JAA medical to go with it.

It would not be much use for me as I meet the FAA Class 1 medical standards, but not the JAA.

I was originally hoping that the JAA medical standards(eyesight) would be brought into line with the FAA but no action seems to be happening on this. :(
