Hello
Before BOAC and BEA merged to become British Airways in the 1970s, what were there callsigns and codes? Did BOAC use the "Speedbird" callsign, as mainline British Airways does today, and what where the codes, like BA is for British Airways today. I think BEA used the code BE like flyBE does today, but am I correct?

Can't remember the code letters for BOAC but the c/s was Speedbird. BEA code was BE and the c/s was Beeline.

Wat the "Beeline" callsign used after the BEA/BOAC merger and if yes, when was it used until?

Beeline callsign is still in use at Heathrow, but only for BA towing movements.

Back in the 70's BEA(RD) ,flying Viscounts, used the callsign "Albion" for a while. Thought they might restore it for BACX.....
