is south african airways the only airline that does flypasts, or do other airlines also do it, if so are there any images of that event

I'm not really sure what you mean - particpation in air shows??? If you just mean airlines generally... well a good number did flypasts at Heathrow on the 50th Anniversary of the airport a few years back.

SAA seem to more visible in doing fly pasts in SA due to the fact that they are the national carrier and they have display pilots like Denis Spence or Skully Levin who seem to be at most of the airshows and usually organise the fly pasts with a SAA acft as well but at the Africa Defense Ex at Waterkloof last week Nationwide and Kalula (Comair) both did displays (Nationwide's was very impressive!!) I remember a few years ago that QANTAS requested to fly past Ellis Park When the Aussies were playing Rugby against SA although they did not decend out of controlled airspace. :)
