Hi all
Well I've bearound for months now and nobody has been able to provide an exact answer.
Anyway maybe you guys can help.
I have around 1300hrs total time where about 1000 have been logged on the twin otter as an F/O. I have heard though that my hours as F/O on the twin otter will not be recognised because the aircraft is a single crew operation. Can anyone confirm this? Our comapny operates the twin otters commercially carrying 20 pax and they operate them as multi crew aircraft.
It would also be kind if someone could give me a breakdown of the hours required for an
a) FAA ATPL
b) JAA ATPL
thanking any response

I recommend you read FAR 61.159 and find the answer out for yourself. There are several criteria that you must meet to apply for the ATPL and if you are accepted by the examiner, you will get an ATPL stating "Holder does not meet the pilot in command aeronautical experience requirements of ICAO."

cheers,
